The Sparkle Thief - A brief overview
It's Christmas Eve and the North Pole is buzzing with activity, all preparations are complete and Santa is about to set off on his usual journey… but then disaster strikes! Christmas Control is plunged into chaos when the Sparkle, the physical embodiment of Christmas Spirit, is stolen and it’s up to Santa’s top elves Bic & Tula to journey into the unknown to recover it. Journey with them through the snow, meeting some famous faces along the way, and see if they manage to save Christmas before it’s too late.
From Ethan Lewis Maltby and Jenna Donnelly, the team behind international success DrumChasers and the upcoming The Battle of Boat, this charming 70-minute show will transport you to a winter wonderland, featuring toe-tapping songs and Christmas magic for the whole family. With a special screen appearance by Gemma Hunt of CBeebies’ Swashbuckle and a chance to meet Santa himself, the show is perfect for bringing some Christmas Sparkle this festive season!

Sparkle Thief Workshop
The Sparkle Thief is Cut Feather Theatre’s first original commission and family orientated show. After a successful run in 2014, the show continues in 2015 with performances in the Anselm Studios and a tour of schools in Kent. The Sparkle Thief is a completely original Christmas adventure full of magic, mayhem and music and can be booked for a performance with an accompanying workshop.
The workshop has been developed to provide pupils with a mechanism to enhance their music and drama curriculum in a vibrant, engaging and interactive way. Participants should expect to sing, act, and let their imaginations run wild.
- The format of the workshop aims to:
- Awake imaginations to a fantastical story
- Enhance curriculum teaching in music and drama
- Build self-confidence and interactivity with others
- Have fun whilst devising and creating
All pupils will have the opportunity to actively join in on a variety of different exercises with the characters from the show. At the end of the workshop, the pupils will deliver an informal performance to their peers.
